Pallet Inspiration Series #2

There are a lot of brides who flock to the spring and summer wedding scenario. The lush colors, the sunny skies, it can all be very appealing. But if you are thinking you want your celebration to stand apart from the rest, a winter wedding can be enchanting. Soft, elegant colors and cozy fabrics are oh-so romantic. Not to mention you won't pay nearly as much for vendors as your spring/summer counterparts nor will you have to worry about competing for a date amidst the crazy peak season. That is why this week's Pallet Inspiration Series is a nod to this beautiful and very much under-appreciated season.

Soft Winter Grays with a burst of Cherry Red

The trick to this pallet is to keep the grays subtle and the red strategic. Pops of red in the right locations will add just enough cheeriness without making your wedding look like Santa's workshop, especially since this pallet is not necessarily Christmas-themed (though it could be). The beauty of this pallet is that it will look wonderful from November all the way to the end of February.

Play up the season with white branches with a hints of sparkle that imitate frost on a chilly winter morning. Hanging crystals will remind your guests of the falling snow out side. The bride can wear a fur (or faux fur!) shrug with pearls for a soft but beautifully glamorous look.

To capture the quiet beauty of the season on paper, we stuck with the very soft-spoken grays on our newest design from the Treehouse Collection, Branching Out. Then we threw in the punch of red to draw focus the the most important part!
